14-year-old girl commits suicide

MANADO, North Sulawesi: A 14-year-old girl from Gorontalo,
identified as Yuni, was found hanged at around 6 a.m. on Friday
in her boarding house in Lawangiring subdistrict.

Neighbors said her mother found Yuni dead when she was
supposed to take over from the former selling cigarettes, cakes
and candies in the Jumbo supermarket at around 6 a.m.

After knocking on the door several times and receiving no
answer from her daughter, the victim's mother pried the door open
and found her hanging from the ceiling by a bed sheet.

A local police officer said they had taken her body to the
hospital for an autopsy. "We'll have to wait for the autopsy to
