The Class I Special Non-checkpoint Immigration Office for South Jakarta has deported 13 foreign nationals who were involved in organising a paid photography event entitled "Celebrity Portrait Event by Luxuravision.id" at a restaurant in the Kebayoran Baru area.

They were deported for violating their stay permits.

"We have carried out administrative immigration measures in the form of deportation and entry bans against the 13 Chinese nationals in accordance with prevailing laws and regulations," said Winarko, head of the South Jakarta Immigration Office, in Jakarta on Saturday (21 February).

According to Winarko, on Monday 26 January at approximately 1.00pm Western Indonesian Time, officers conducted immigration monitoring at the "Celebrity Portrait Event by Luxuravision.id" held at a restaurant in the Kebayoran Baru area of South Jakarta.

Based on information obtained at the location, the activity was identified as a celebrity-concept photography session organised by Luxuravision.id, which ran in Jakarta from 21 to 28 January 2026. The event operated on a paid registration basis for each photography session.

During the monitoring operation, officers recorded the presence of a number of foreign nationals who played various roles in the event, including photographers, make-up artists, stylists, and members of the organising committee.

"The entire monitoring process was carried out in a persuasive, humane manner and in accordance with prevailing procedures," he said.

As a follow-up, the foreign nationals were asked to report to the South Jakarta Immigration Office for clarification and further administrative examination.

Based on the results of a thorough examination, the 13 foreign nationals were found to have misused their stay permits in Indonesia.

In response to the violation, they were deported on Thursday 12 February in accordance with prevailing laws and regulations.

The South Jakarta Immigration Office emphasised that the action was part of immigration law enforcement carried out in a professional, proportionate manner that upholds the principles of justice.

Winarko called on the public to play an active role in maintaining immigration order by reporting any knowledge of the presence or activities of foreigners that do not comply with prevailing regulations. His office remains committed to monitoring the presence and activities of foreign nationals as part of efforts to maintain order and compliance with immigration regulations in the area.
