Serang:The Banten Provincial government has proposed that Tanjung Lesung in Pandeglang be designated as a special tourist economic zone. Banten Culture and Tourism Office chief Egi Djanuiswaty said he hoped the proposal could be approved by the central government. Some 60 tourist sites nationwide have been proposed as special economic zones. “Besides its good potential, the economic gap in south Banten could be managed,” said Egi.
