Vietnam Eyes Indonesian Coal as Own Supply Dwindles: Minister

From: The Jakarta Globe Hanoi. Vietnam, a coal exporter, is projected to import 6.5 million tons of the fuel annually by 2015 as its domestic supply dries up, a minister said. This followed the first import of nearly 10,000 tons of Indonesian thermal coal this year as Vietnam grapples with a rising demand for power and is forced to buy electricity from southern China as part of measures to avoid outages.

Indonesia, EU cooperate to boost capacity in aviation industry

JAKARTA,(Xinhua) Indonesian Transport Ministry Freddy Numberi said on Thursday that Indonesia and European Union (EU) have recently signed a deal to cooperate on aviation industry to boost the capacity in the sector. The minister said that the cooperation included on the safety and security of aviation, and the compliance on international regulation.

International cocoa conference to be held in Bali

Nusa Dua, Bali (ANTARA News) - The 5th Indonesian International Cocoa Conference (IICC) and Dinner 2011 will be held in Nusa Dua, Bali, on July 7 and 8, 2011. Organizing committee chairman Antonius Pasaribu said here on Wednesday that the conference would discuss the latest cocoa industrial condition. "The conference is scheduled to be opened by Agriculture Minister Suswono on July 7 and closed by Trade Minister Mari Elka Pangestu on July 8, 2011," Antonius Pasaribu said.
