Korea Aerospace Signs Deal to Sell Trainer Jets to Indonesia
From: The Jakarta Globe By Bomi Lim Korea Aerospace Industries Ltd., Korea’s largest plane maker, signed a $400 million deal to sell 16 T-50 trainer jets to Indonesia, marking South Korea’s first export of the aircraft. Korea Aerospace will deliver the jets to the Indonesian air force by 2013 to replace the country’s aging fleet, the Sacheon, South Korea-based company said late yesterday in an e-mailed statement.

US Interested in Brebes Potatoes
TEMPO Interactive, Brebes: Brebes-produced potatoes are consumed in the US and are exported by a Singaporean broker. “This is because there is a trust factor that Indonesian products contain pesticides,” Sodikin, the Brebes Agriculture, Forestry and Plantation Office head in charge of production sales, said yesterday. Sodikin said that Singaporean businessmen were using the environmental edge to sell the products to American businessmen.

7-Eleven Prepares Rp150 Billion for New Outlets
TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta:PT Modern International, which holds the license for 7-Eleven convenience stores, has allocated Rp150 billion to increase the number of 7-Eleven outlets. “The fund will be used to open new outlets and infrastructure development as well as human resources development,” PT Modern Putra president director Henri Honoris, said in Jakarta yesterday. PT Modern International’s subsidiary plans to open 56 new outlets by the end of the year.

S Korea to export T-50 supersonic jets to Indonesia
SEOUL,(Xinhua) -- South Korea has struck a multi- million-dollar deal to export T-50 supersonic trainer jets to Indonesia, state-run aircraft company Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) said Thursday. The deal to sell 16 supersonic jets worth 400 million U.S. dollars to Indonesia was signed in Jakarta Wednesday, the first time for South Korea to export its T-50 Golden Eagles, jointly produced by the KAI and U.S. defense firm Lockheed Martin, officials at the KAI said.
