Indonesia to Host ASEAN Investment Forum
TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta:Indonesia will host the Southeast Asia finance ministers and investors meeting. The forum, entitled ASEAN Finance Ministers Investor Seminar, will be held in Jakarta on Nov. 8. Bambang Brojonegoro, the Finance Ministry’s head of fiscal policy division, said the meeting would be a place to promote investment activities and a forum to engage in dialogue between ASEAN economic decision-makers.

Foreign Tourists Prefer Non-Starred Hotels
TEMPO Interactive, Bandung, West Java:Foreign tourists in West Java spend more time in non-starred hotels. “Almost five days longer on average,” said Lukman Ismail, head of the West Java Central Statistics Agency (BPS), at his office in Bandung on Tuesday. Conversely, local tourists prefer to stay in star-rated hotels. A BPS survey shows that Indonesian tourists spent an average 1.68 days longer in star-rated hotels compared to 1.26 days in non-starred hotels. AHMAD FIKRI

West Java offering investment opportunities through int`l expo
Bandung, W Java (ANTARA News) - West Java`s International Expo (WJIE) 2011 is offering a number of the region`s business potentials and opportunities to foreign and domestic investors. "There are 52 investment potentials in West Java showcased in the West Java International Expo 2011," said Agus Gustiar, head of West Java`s Capital InvestmentCoordinating Agency (BKPMD), here Tuesday.

Two Japanese firms ready to relocate plants to Indonesia
Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Two Japanese companies are ready to relocate their plants from Thailand to Indonesia because of protracted flooding in the former, an official said. "Because of the floods we have received a request from Japanese automotive and electronic manufacturers to relocate their plants from Thailand to Indonesia," the deputy for industry and trade to the coordinating minister for economic affairs, Edy Putra Irawady said here on Tuesday.
