BPK Welcomes Constitutional Court Involvement in Newmont Share Dispute

TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta:Hasan Bisri, the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) deputy-chairman, said that he has no problem if the Finance Ministry or state investment agency PT Pusat Investasi Pemerintah (PIP) plan to bring the dispute over the Newmont Nusa Tenggara share purchase to the Constitutional Court. Hasan believes that the step taken by the Finance Ministry, which turned the divestment issue into an inter-agency dispute, will not have any effect on the BPK’s audit results.

First lady attends national batik day in Pekalongan

Jakarta (ANTARA News) - First Lady Ani Yudhoyono will attend a National Batik Day in Pekalongan, Central Java, on Monday. The First Lady and here entourage, made up of Madame Herawati Boediono, United Indonesia Cabinet Wives Solidarity (SIKIB), Culture and Tourism Minister Jero Wacik, and Trade Minister Mari Elka Pangestu left Gambir station by special train at 5 am Monday and was scheduled to arrive in Pekalongan at about 9.40 am.
