RI-India trade in 2011 expected to repeat last year`s success

Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Trade between Indonesia and India in 2011 is expected to be as successsful as last year and reach the value three times that in 2005, according to Indian Ambassador to Indonesia Biren Nanda. "We expect to repeat last year`s success which was three times as high as in 2005," Biren said in an interview with ANTARA here Tuesday.

Govt supports seaweed cultivation in Wakatobi and Muna

Kendari, Southeast Sulawesi (ANTARA News) - Southeast Sulawesi provincial government fully supports the development of seaweed cultivation in Wakatobi and Muna districts. Governor Nur Alam said here on Tuesday that the local government`s support was given to the two districts in their effort to build large-scale seaweed processing plants.

Government Develops Business Port

TEMPO Interactive, Tegal:The Tegal Municipality will develop a business port to facilitate the delivery of goods and revive inactive port businesses. “Developing ports to be business ports can reduce the loading-unloading capacity at Tanjung Priok Port in Jakarta and facilitate the delivery of goods in Java,” Khaerul Huda, the Tegal Port Development Group Work secretary, said yesterday in his office. The government is currently working on the development plan.

Central Java Speeds Up Coffee Exports

TEMPO Interactive, Semarang:The Central Java provincial government will continue to boost coffee production both for domestic consumption and export. “The coffee export target from Central Java by 2013 will be 50,000 tons,” Teguh Winarno, the Central Java Plantation Office chief said yesterday. In 2013, coffee production in Central Java is projected to reach 75,000 tons. This year, coffee production from Central Java is only 30,000 tons, half of which is targeted to be exported.
