Nielsen Survey Shows Growing Indonesian Online Shoppers

TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta: The Indonesian branch of consumer research firm Nielsen reported a growing trend in online shopping the in the country in the last several months. Executive Director of Consumer Reserach Catherine Eddy said today (14/7) almost 70 percent of indonesia's 30 million Internet users have planned to make online purchase between March and September from the previous 68 percent found during earlier reserach period.

Government Prepares Incentive for Geothermal Entrepreneurs

TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta:The government will provide incentives in the form of free import duty and value added tax (PPN) for companies managing geothermal energy. The policy is a form of government concern on the development of renewable energy. “But companies still must pay taxes,” said an expert staff from the Fiscal Board at the Department of Finance, Singgih Riphat, in the Green Investment Summit 2010 in Jakarta yesterday.

Riau Expo eyes foreign investors

Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Riau Expo 2010 will be conducted in the city of Pekanbaru from August 1 to 9, to attract both domestic and foreign investors to invest in Riau province. "Excellent regional potentials will be promoted during the Expo in a bid to net both domestic and foreign investors," Riau Governor Rusli Zainal said here on Tuesday.
