Cooperation between Chinese - Indonesian Companies is Limited

TEMPO Interactive, Jakarta:Cooperation between Chinese and Indonesian companies is still limited. “Normally, only big companies collaborate with Chinese companies,” said the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce’s (Kadin) ad interim Adi Putra Tahir, yesterday. Adi said most Indonesian businessmen collaborating with Chinese businessmen can speak Mandarin. “So they trust each other more,” he said.

Govt set to issue ISPO standard in August

Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The government has set itself the target of issuing Indonesian Sustainable Palm Oil (ISPO) standards in August 2010 at the latest, an Agriculture Ministry official said. The ISPO standard would prove that development of oil palm plantations in the country did not destroy the environment, the ministry`s director general of plantations, Achmad Mangga Barani, said on Tuesday.
