Reform Drive Seen as Key to Indonesian Growth

Jakarta. A policy group has urged Indonesia to renew its efforts to reform the bureaucracy, invest heavily in infrastructure and cut greenhouse gas emissions while the going is good. β€œThe current environment offers Indonesia a unique opportunity to pursue its reform agenda. But there is no room for complacency,” said Angel Gurria, secretary general of the Paris-based Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development.

Construction of Indonesia`s first wind power plant started

Banda Aceh (ANTARA News) - Work on the construction of a wind power plant (PLTB) in Kluet with a capacity of 10 MW was started with Aceh Governor Irwandi Yusuf laying the foundation stone in Suak Bakong village, Kluet subdistrict, South Aceh regency, on Monday. "PLTB Kluet is the first of its kind in Indonesia, and it is hoped the environmentally friendly power plant will help overcome the power crisis in the area," Irwandi Yusuf said.
