West Lombok Hoteliers Submit Complaint on Bad Infrastructure

TEMPO Interactive, Mataram:Tourism development in Sekotong, West Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTT) has been hindered by the limited road infrastructure in the regency. Although Sekotong tourism has developed in the past 10 years, the existing roads are inadequate to support its activities. This was conveyed by a local businessman, I Gusti Ngurah Oka Arif. “I opened a three-kilometer road worth Rp100 million at my own expense,” he told Tempo in Sekotong, yesterday.

RI, China sign cooperation agreement in energy, mining fields

Shanghai (ANTARA News) - Indonesia and China signed six cooperation agreements in the fields of mining and energy on Monday. The signing of the memorandum of understanding between Indonesian and Chinese businessmen in the fields was done during a business forum in Shanghai, witnessed by Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono who was on a visit to that country. Based on the agreements Shanghai Know-How Marine Equipment would be the distributor of Pertamina Marine lubricating oil.

Indonesia asks China to increase investment

Shanghai (ANTARA News) - Indonesia has asked China to continue increasing its investment in the country. "We hope there will be more investments from China," Indonesian president Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono said when opening a business forum between Indonesian and Chinese businessmen here on Monday. President Yudhoyono said Indonesia is a promising investment target. He said Indonesia is improving and keeps improving itself with regard to creating a conducive climate for investment.
