Gorontalo to host World Maize Conference

Gorontalo (ANTARA News) - Gorontalo province is expected to host the World Maize Conference (WMC) in October 2011 where exporters and importers will discuss maize development and exchange expertise, Gorontalo Deputy Governor Tony Uloli said. "Maize producing and importing countries will meet in the conference to discuss maize development and exchange technology and research results about the commodity," the deputy governor said.

Dubai companies to invest in South Sumatra`s energy sector

London (ANTARA News) - Two Dubai companies, Salam Investments and Mas ClearSight Investment Bank, plan to invest in the energy sector in South Sumatra, an Indonesian official said. "The two companies from Dubai are interested in investing in coal mining and power generation and prepared to sink about 0.5 billion US dollars in eventual projects ," Mansyur Pangeran, Indonesian consul general in Dubai, told ANTARA here on Saturday.
