Charoen Phokphand to build DOC industry in W Sumatra
Padang, West Sumatra (ANTARA News) - Agro-food company PT Charoen Phokphand has set itself the target of building a day-old-chick (DOC) industry in West Sumatra early next month at a cost of more than Rp75 billion, an official said. "At least the company will begin the physical construction of the DOC industry in late 2007," head of the West Sumatra Husbandry Office Edwardi MM said here Friday.

PT BAT investing $11.2 million in coal mining in S. Kalimantan
Muara Teweh, Central Kalimantan (ANTARA News) - PT Bahtera Alam Tamiang (BAT) has earmarked US$11.2 million for investment in a coal mining project and a supporting facilities development program in North Barito (Barut) district, a spokesperson said. The money will not only be used to finance the coal mining project but also a road and special port development program, BAT supporting manager Agung Wicaksono said here Friday.

Semen Gresik to build 400 MW coal-fired power plants
Surabaya, E Java (ANTARA News) - Publicly-listed cement maker PT Semen Gresik Tbk is planning to build low calorie coal-fired power plants with a combined capacity of about 400 megawatts to meet power demand from its three plants. "The power plants will be built in stages in the locations of our factories in Tuban (East Java), Indarung (West Sumatra) and South Sulawesi.
