JAKARTA: PT SKF Indonesia, a motorcycle spare parts manufacturer, has expanded its production capacity to boost revenue in a move that will create 160 new jobs. Jakarta (ANTARA News) - State-owned oil and gas company PT Pertamina and SK Corp have set up a joint venture company, Patra SK, to construct an oil base plant here in January next year, Pertamina president Ari Soemarno said. He said construction of the plant is estimated to cost 200 mln usd. "We plan to begin construction of the oil base plant in January next year and expect to it to be completed in 2008," Soemarno told reporters.

Jakarta (ANTARA News/Asia Pulse) - Nine cellular operators in Indonesia are projected to spend almost US$4 billion in 2007 mainly to expand their coverage in the country. The number of cellular phone subscribers is predicted to rise 25 per cent-30 per cent or 28.85 million to 76 million in 2007, the cellular telecommunications association (ATSI) said. In 2006, the number of subscribers is estimated to rise by 15 million.
