Zulkifli Hasan Honoured for Integrating Bali-Nusra Food Supply Chain

Coordinating Minister for Food Zulkifli Hasan was honoured with the Bali and Nusa Tenggara Food Distribution Chain Integration Figure award at the detikBali-Nusra Awards 2026. The award was presented by CT Corp Chairman Chairul Tanjung and accepted by Deputy for Food and Agriculture Business Coordination Widiastuti, representing Zulkifli Hasan, at a ceremony held at The Trans Resort Bali on Friday (3/7/2026).

The accolade recognises Zulkifli Hasan’s strategic leadership in synergising production potential and consumption needs across provinces in the Bali and Nusa Tenggara region. As Coordinating Minister for Food, Zulkifli was deemed successful in bridging the ecosystems of West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) and East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) with Bali.

NTB and NTT serve as strategic production hubs for livestock and agricultural commodities, whilst Bali is an international tourism epicentre with high absorption capacity. This policy orchestration effectively dismantled inter-regional distribution barriers, creating a solid and mutually supportive regional supply chain.

This supply chain integration delivers a crucial dual impact for the region’s economic resilience. On one hand, price stability and certainty of staple food supplies for the hospitality industry and the Balinese public are far more assured without relying on distant sources or imports. On the other hand, this integrated ecosystem opens up guaranteed and high-value market access for farmers and ranchers in NTB and NTT, ultimately strengthening regional food self-sufficiency whilst accelerating the welfare of local producers in Nusa Tenggara.
