PAN has launched the national ‘PANsar murah’ (cheap PANsar) programme as part of its 28th anniversary celebrations. PAN Chairperson Zulkifli Hasan (Zulhas) stated that the PANsar murah initiative is vital because the current situation is a ‘lean season’.

“The PANsar murah programme is very important. We are currently in a lean season; the global situation is such that price increases are unavoidable,” said Zulhas during the PAN 2-8th anniversary celebration at JCC, Jakarta, on Friday (18/09/2025).

During the current dry season, Zulhas noted that food production levels have also declined. Consequently, Zulhas stated that PAN does not wish to remain idle and is organising PANsar murah with a target of 2 million people.

“Therefore, PAN does not want to just stand by. We are conducting PANsar murah. The target is 2 million. 2 million people. We will implement PANsar murah. For example, if the price is Rp 100,000, we will sell it at half price, Rp 50,000,” he said.

The programme was officially launched by President Prabowo and Zulhas during the anniversary peak this evening. Prabowo and Zulhas symbolically inaugurated the initiative.

PANsar murah is a programme by PAN where citizens can purchase basic necessities such as rice, cooking oil, eggs, and sugar at 50-60% lower prices. The price difference is covered by PAN, with distribution managed through a coupon and registration system to ensure it reaches the intended targets.

The PANsar murah programme began in August as part of the PAN 28th anniversary series across five provinces. The series also included community festivals for the 17th of August celebrations involving local MSMEs, free weddings for young couples accompanied by business capital assistance, certified job training for MSMEs and youth including business capital, and PAN anniversary celebrations with orphans on 23 August.

Additionally, PAN operates the ‘Lapor PAN’ programme to receive public complaints and aspirations via Instagram @lapor.pan, a WhatsApp call centre, and the official Lapor PAN website. All funding for Lapor PAN is sourced from salary deductions of PAN Faction members of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI).
