Zulhas: PAN Will Remain Aligned with Prabowo

The Chairman of the National Mandate Party (PAN), Zulkifli Hasan, has asserted that his party will continue to stand alongside President Prabowo Subianto, as they share identical aspirations for the development of Indonesia.

Zulkifli stated that PAN’s partnership with Prabowo has undergone a long journey and is not merely a product of a single presidential election cycle. These remarks were made during the launch of the National PANsar Murah Movement and the peak celebration of PAN’s 28th anniversary at the Jakarta International Convention Centre (JICC).

“PAN will continue to be with the President. Because we share the same struggle and aspirations,” said Zulkifli during his speech on Friday, 18 September 2026.

Zulkifli noted that PAN does not need to re-prove its togetherness, loyalty, and commitment to Prabowo, as these have been demonstrated throughout the political history of both parties. According to the Coordinating Minister for Food Affairs, PAN has stood with Prabowo in three presidential elections, leading up to Prabowo’s victory in the 2024 Presidential Election.

“The togetherness of PAN and Mr Prabowo has passed through a long and winding history. It is not just about one election season. We have been fighting together for decades,” he remarked.

Zulkifli emphasised that this alliance is not solely based on political calculation or the desire to be part of the government, but rather on shared values and ideals for nation-building. He cited several government policies that reflect these shared values, including support for farmers, fishermen, micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), and online motorcycle taxi drivers.

“Mr Prabowo’s commitment to farmers represents the struggle of PAN alongside Prabowo. It is a shared set of values,” he said.

On this occasion, Zulkertli also urged PAN cadres to work alongside central and regional governments, political parties, and various community groups to build Indonesia. “Indonesia is too large to be built by a single party. It is too complex to be resolved by one group. Therefore, it requires Indonesia’s unique strength, which is gotong royong (mutual cooperation),” he added.

President Prabowo Subianto attended the celebration of PAN’s 28th anniversary at the JICC on Friday night. Prabowo arrived at the venue at approximately 19:05 WIB and, accompanied by Zulkifli, greeted several prominent figures in attendance.
