Zulhas: PAN Will Continue to Support President Prabowo

The General Chairman of the National Mandate Party (PAN), Zulkifli Hasan (Zulhas), has declared his loyalty to the President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto. According to him, his party will continue to support Prabowo.

Zulhas revealed that his party has navigated a winding path alongside Prabowo. He noted that PAN has consistently supported Prabowo across multiple election cycles.

“PAN does not need to prove its togetherness, loyalty, or commitment to the struggle. Because everything is already clear and transparent,” he stated during his speech at the peak celebration of PAN’s 28th anniversary at the Plenary Hall, Jakarta International Convention Centre (JICC), Senayan, Central Jakarta, on Friday (18/09/2026) evening.

The Coordinating Minister for Food Affairs explained that the primary reason PAN supports Prabowo is due to their shared political aspirations. Consequently, Zulhas added, PAN did not perform political calculations when providing support to the General Chairman of the Gerindra Party. As a result, Prabowo achieved victory after several previous election losses.

“I remember the last time when colleagues were deliberating with Gerindra, I went to your office at the Ministry of Defence. Sir, even though it is Gerindra alone, we are with you. Let us complete your struggle’s aspirations,” said Zulhas.

He expressed his belief that Prabowo will be a president who succeeds in fulfilling these aspirations, noting that it was not easy for Prabowo to attain power.

“I remember at that time there were heavy issues, because many party colleagues certainly had their own ambitions. Therefore, through three elections, why? Because there is a shared value of struggle and an aspiration to build the nation to realise national sovereignty, specifically regarding Articles 30-34, Sir,” concluded Zulhas.
