Coordinating Minister for Food Affairs, Zulkifli Hasan (Zulhas), has announced the official recruitment of employees to oversee the Red and White Village/Urban Village Cooperatives (KDKMP) and Red and White Fishery Villages (KNMP) programmes. Zulhas stressed that this programme must not fail. He made this statement during a press conference on the recruitment of KDKMP and KNMP employees at the Coordinating Ministry for Food Affairs office in Jakarta on Wednesday (15/4/2026).

“The manager position is crucial because if the cooperative fails this time, the stakes are high since we have mobilised all our strength to build cooperatives so that in every village, the lights shine brightly and can illuminate,” said Zulhas.

Zulhas noted that the government has successfully maintained food stocks, from rice and fish to chicken eggs, fruits, and vegetables. He described this achievement as a success amid uncertain global geopolitical conditions.

“So, regarding food in 2026-2027, God willing, we will not lack; it will be more than enough,” he said.

Therefore, Zulhas continued, the government is now focusing on realising the construction of KDKMP and KNMP. The government targets the completion of 30,000 KDKMP and 1,399 KNMP by mid-year.

Consequently, Zulhas stated that tens of thousands of KDKMP and KNMP will require human resources to support their operations. As of today, the government, through the National Selection Committee for the Best Quick Results Human Resources Programme (SDMPHTC), has officially opened recruitment for workers for KDKMP and KNMP.

Zulhas detailed that the first phase of recruitment is open for 35,476 workers. He specified 30,000 manager positions for KDKMP, who will become BUMN employees with a fixed-term employment contract (PKWT) under PT Agrinas Pangan Nusantara. Additionally, the government is opening recruitment for 5,476 workers for KNMP, who will also become BUMN employees under PT Agrinas Jaladri Nusantara with PKWT status.

“It will be further refined, whether for two years in the BUMN, and after that, if the handover is exactly two years, then they will join the Red and White Village Cooperative,” explained the Chairman General of the National Mandate Party (PAN).

Zulhas guaranteed that the recruitment process for KDKMP and KNMP employees will be transparent and accountable. He said this recruitment is conducted collaboratively and coordinated by the BUMN Supervisory Board, supported by various ministries and institutions.

“To Indonesia’s best sons and daughters, this is the time to take part and play a real role. The nation calls on you to be present in villages, urban villages, and fishery villages to build Indonesia from its strongest roots,” Zulhas added.

He invited the public to monitor the recruitment process to ensure it runs honestly and openly. Zulhas believes this selection process will produce the best talents capable of carrying out the President’s great mandate for an advanced Indonesia.

“This process is open and only through phtc.panselnas.go.id. There are no recommendations, no payments, no guarantees. The best will certainly get it,” said Zulhas.
