Zulhas: First Instalment for KDKMP Loans to Himbara Due in September
Jakarta (ANTARA) — Coordinating Minister for Food Zulkifli Hasan (Zulhas) has said the first instalment of financing for the Red and White Village/Kelurahan Cooperatives (KDKMP), owed by PT Agrinas Pangan Nusantara to the Association of State-Owned Banks (Himbara), falls due in September 2026.
“In September the first instalment will fall due, the repayment from Agrinas Pangan to Himbara, as they have been borrowing all along. September,” Zulhas said after a limited meeting chaired by President Prabowo Subianto at the Presidential Palace complex in Jakarta on Thursday.
Zulhas said that before any payment, the entire verification and validation process must be completed.
Once that process is finished, Minister of Finance Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa will make the payment to Himbara.
“After the validation and verification is submitted with BPKP, only then can it be paid by the Minister of Finance, and then the Minister of Finance will transfer it to Himbara. It falls due in September,” he said.
According to Zulkifli, the government is working to complete all administrative requirements in August so that the first instalment can be paid before the September deadline.
“We are also working hard, reporting earlier, so that by this August all requirements are completed, so that before September the first instalment funds for the Red and White Village and Kelurahan Cooperatives can be paid to Himbara,” he said.
The KDKMP programme is supported by loans from Himbara totalling Rp240 trillion, with a ceiling of Rp3 billion per cooperative.
That support also involves the TNI and Polri to help ensure the programme runs optimally across various regions.
“The President made sure that the Red and White Village Cooperatives, Red and White Kelurahan Cooperatives and Red and White Fishermen’s Cooperatives must be supported by all ministries and agencies. They are also supported by the TNI and Polri, who have been asked to help fully support the Red and White Village/Kelurahan Cooperatives for their success, first as government infrastructure, second as off-takers,” he said.
According to him, President Prabowo has designated the Red and White Cooperatives as the hub for distributing various government programmes. All subsidised goods and government assistance will in future be channelled through the cooperatives, making distribution more integrated and better targeted.
“As government infrastructure, all subsidised goods and government assistance items will all be distributed through the Red and White Village Cooperatives or Red and White Kelurahan Cooperatives,” he said.
