Zulhas Condemns US-Israel Attack on Iran: Beyond Reason, Utterly Barbaric!

Jakarta – The General Chairman of the National Mandate Party (PAN), Zulkifli Hasan or Zulhas, voiced his deep concern regarding the attack by the United States (US) and Israel against Iran.

He stated that the assault launched by the US and Israel on Iran is beyond reason and the bounds of humanity.

Zulhas made these remarks during the National Work Meeting (Rakernas) I of PAN at the PAN Central Executive Board office in South Jakarta on Tuesday, 31 March 2026.

“Sometimes I have trouble sleeping when I see America and Israel attacking Iran; I can’t sleep. It’s beyond what? Beyond reason. Beyond the limits we have as humans. I think it’s barbaric, especially now with what’s happening to Palestine in Gaza. And we can’t do anything except pray. That, that makes me unable to sleep, having trouble sleeping,” Zulhas said in his speech.

According to Zulhas, what is occurring between the US-Israel and Iran is not merely a political matter. The inter-state conflict, Zulhas said, has triggered impacts across the world, not just in the Middle East, but also in ASEAN.

One example, Zulhas noted, is the Philippines, which has declared a state of energy emergency.

“And now we see, we witness that almost all countries are affected. For instance, in ASEAN, we’ve already seen the Philippines announcing a state of energy emergency, brothers and sisters,” he stated.

Despite the uncertain geopolitical situation, Zulhas still reminded the public and PAN cadres to continue giving thanks.

“We give thanks, because this is actually what our President always talks about,” Zulhas concluded.
