Zone 4A of Bantargebang TPST Closed, Waste Truck Queue Stretches for 8 Kilometres

A queue of waste trucks approximately 8 kilometres long accumulated on Jalan Pangkalan Lima in Ciketing Udik, Bekasi, West Java, on Friday 13 March 2026, following the Jakarta Provincial Government’s closure of Zone 4A at the Bantargebang Transfer Station (TPST). The closure was prompted by a landslide that occurred at the facility on Sunday 8 March.

The extended queue has caused significant traffic disruption across the region, with vehicles trapped in congestion along major thoroughfares including Jalan Raya Narogong in Cikiwul, Bekasi. The closure of this critical waste management infrastructure has created a bottleneck in Jakarta’s solid waste disposal operations, as waste collection trucks are unable to access the affected zone for unloading.
