Bank Indonesia (BI) has extended its loan-to-value/financing-to-value (LTV/FTV) rules for property loans and financing, as well as the down payment (DP) requirement for motor vehicle loans and financing, until 31 December 2027. This means consumers can make a down payment of 0%.

BI Governor Destry Damayanti said at a press conference on Wednesday (21 October 2026) that the extension includes a 100% LTV/FTV ratio for loans and financing for all types of property—landed houses, flats, and shop-houses or office-houses—at banks that meet certain non-performing loan/non-performing financing (NPL/NPF) criteria.

“The provision, which was originally due to expire on 31 December 2026, will now be effective from 1 January 2027 to 31 December 2027,” Destry said.

Destry also extended the provision allowing a minimum down payment of 0% for loans and financing for all types of new motor vehicles. It was originally due to expire on 31 December 2026 and will now apply from 1 January 2027 to 31 December 2027.
