Zero Accident Award for Sofitel Seminyak

JAKARTA: The Indonesian government presented Sofitel Seminyak Bali with a Zero Accident Award in conjunction with National Health and Safety Month 2005.

Sofitel Seminyak was one of eight companies to receive the prestigious award.

Vice President Jusuf Kalla, together with Minister of Manpower and Transmigration Fahmi Idris presented the award to Sofitel Seminyak general manager Ove Sandstrom at the State Palace in Jakarta.

Sofitel Seminyak Bali received this award for recording no accidents in the period Jan. 1, 2002 to Dec. 31, 2004.

The award is given as recognition to outstanding companies and organizations that have implemented and maintained high standards of health and safety at the workplace, and a positive working environment.

The award is also seen as motivation for companies to improve their human resources development. -- JP
