JAKARTA — Gitarist Zendhy Kusuma has lamented the wave of negative comments he received after a video of an incident at the Bibi Kelinci restaurant went viral on social media. He insisted that the recording did not portray the full context, resulting in an incomplete public perception. ‘Since the spread of the recording, we have received a range of responses and comments on social media that have had a significant impact on us, our families, and our work environment,’ Zendhy said in his clarification, quoted by Kompas.com on Sunday. He believes that online platforms are not the proper venue to resolve legal issues or matters of a personal nature. ‘Because the various accusations and impacts we have experienced continue to develop in the public space, ultimately, on 30 September 2025, we decided to report this matter to the Cybercrime Directorate of Bareskrim Polri for alleged violations of the Information and Electronic Transactions Law (UU ITE),’ he added. This legal step was taken as an effort to seek justice for accusations deemed personally and professionally harmful. He also pledged to remain cooperative with law enforcement. ‘This statement is not a form of self-defence, but an effort to rectify the information that has circulated widely in society without considering the presumption of innocence,’ Zendhy said. He also asked for public understanding and offered an apology if the incident caused a stir, especially during the month of Ramadan. According to Zendhy, this moment should be a time for introspection, increased patience, and improved relationships among people. He arrived around 10 pm WIB, in relatively quiet conditions. They ordered several meals and drinks for takeaway. However, after a long wait, their order did not arrive.
