Zendhy Kusuma Claims He Paid for Food at Bibi Kelinci Twice, Total Rp1.1 Million

Jakarta — Guitarist Zendhy Kusuma has said he twice transferred money to pay for food ordered at the Bibi Kelinci restaurant. The first payment was made on 27 September 2025 for Rp 550,000. However, because the restaurant believed the payment had not been received, he made a second transfer of the same amount on 20 October 2025. In the end, he did pay for the food and drinks. “Because the payment was made and can be proven, in our view there are no elements of theft as has been circulating in public narrative at present,” Zendhy said in his clarification quoted by Kompas.com. He had initially intended to return to the restaurant on 21 September 2025 to personally apologise. However, he said he could not meet the owner, who was out of town at the time. “On that day we also came with an apology letter, a chronology of events, and cash to pay for the order,” he added. Zendhy lamented that CCTV footage of him at Bibi Kelinci was circulated on social media without full context. “We fully respect the ongoing legal process and will cooperate,” Zendhy concluded.
