Zelensky: Next Ukraine, US, Russia talks to be held in early March
Kiev (ANTARA) - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced on Wednesday that the next round of talks between delegations from Ukraine, the United States, and Russia is expected to be held in early March, according to local media reports.
Ahead of the negotiations, the head of the Ukrainian negotiating team, Rustem Umerov, who also serves as the secretary of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine, will meet with US envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner on Thursday (February 26), Zelensky said.
The bilateral meeting will focus on preparations for the upcoming trilateral negotiations, a reconstruction package for Ukraine, and potential prisoner exchanges between Ukraine and Russia, Zelensky added.
The delegations from Ukraine, Russia, and the US previously held two rounds of negotiations in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, on January 23-24 and February 4-5, followed by another round in Geneva, Switzerland, on February 17-18.
