Jakarta, VIVA – PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk continues to strengthen micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) empowerment through mentoring and capacity-building programmes. One beneficiary is Zdrink, a Jakarta Barat-based beverage business developing an instant chocolate drink using premium Lampung cocoa.

Founded in 2022, Zdrink is known for its menu items such as Chocolate, Cappuccino, Taro, Avocado, and Oreo, with Chocolate and Cappuccino being the most popular. In addition to ready-to-mix beverages for portability, the company also produces packaged drink powders sold both online and offline.

Founder Redi Noverindo said the business idea emerged from a simple experience involving his child’s school environment, which later developed into a business opportunity.

“The business began on 10 March 2022 after I stopped working. It started from my child’s habit of buying chocolate, strawberry, and other drinks at school. I began thinking of selling drinks with flavours like chocolate, Oreo, taro, and avocado. Thus, Zdrink was formed with its first stall in front of SD Kelapa Dua in Kebon Jeruk, West Jakarta. As the process continued, Zdrink also began producing packaged chocolate powder now sold both online and offline,” he said.

To grow its business, Zdrink has utilised BRI’s empowerment ecosystem through LinkUMKM and training programmes such as BRIncubator. Initially finding out via Instagram, Zdrink actively participated in these initiatives to enhance business knowledge and development. This experience helped the company gain greater public recognition.

“Training programmes like BRIncubator have been highly beneficial, especially for marketing through events, bazaars, and online channels,” he added.

In daily operations, Zdrink uses BRI services such as QRIS BRI, which simplifies transactions and improves sales recording accuracy. As the business grows, Zdrink actively markets its products through offline stores, marketplaces, bazaars, and MSME exhibitions to reach wider audiences. The company has faced challenges, including not passing product curation processes at some MSME events, but these experiences have driven Zdrink to continuously improve product quality and expand its market.
