Zakat, infaq and alms (ZIS) funds collected in DKI Jakarta through Baznas Provincial DKI Jakarta reached Rp 396 billion. Governor of DKI Jakarta Pramono Anung urged mayors down to sub-district heads to move quickly to assist residents in need, especially during Ramadan.

This was stated by Pramono at the ZIS fulfilment event for officials and leaders of BUMD within the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government at the City Hall, on Thursday, 5 March 2026. He praised the achievement of mobilising community funds that nearly reached Rp 400 billion.

“As reported earlier, around Rp 396 billion has been collected from a target of Rp 400 billion. This shows professionalism as the key for the ZIS collection in DKI Jakarta,” Pramono said.

Pramono quipped that the figure should be rounded up to Rp 400 billion. He said the achievement provides optimism for this year’s target, which has been set higher at Rp 450 billion.

Pramono emphasised that Ramadan is an important moment to ensure that no Jakartans are unable to meet their basic needs.

“There must not be residents in Jakarta who, during this Ramadan month, especially those who are not able, cannot meet their basic needs,” he asserted.

He urged mayors, the regent of the Kepulauan Seribu, down to camats to coordinate promptly if they identify residents in need of assistance. Aid can be channelled through the DKI Provincial Government or in collaboration with Baznas-Bazis.

According to Pramono, the ZIS funds collected so far have been utilised for a range of social programmes, from scholarships, tuition redemption, free healthcare services, house and area renovations, to assistance for fishermen and people with disabilities.

He also highlighted the issue of social inequality in Jakarta, reflected in a Gini ratio of around 0.441. Therefore, programmes for the underprivileged, such as the Kartu Jakarta Pintar, Kartu Jakarta Mahasiswa Unggul, and health aid should not be reduced.

“This ZIS fund must truly be utilised for the less fortunate. Collaboration with Baznas Bazis, which has been going well, let us maintain it together,” he added.
