The zakat fitrah amounts per person for Ramadhan 1447 Hijriah or Eid al-Fitr 2026 in several cities across the Jabodetabek region have been announced by regional offices of the National Zakat Agency (BAZNAS).

The values differ in each area as they are adjusted according to the prevailing rice prices in their respective regions.

Nationally, the National Zakat Agency of the Republic of Indonesia has set the zakat fitrah amount at IDR 50,000 per person or equivalent to 2.5 kilograms (3.5 litres) of premium rice.

In addition to zakat fitrah, BAZNAS has also set fidyah (compensation) at IDR 65,000 per person per day for Muslims who are unable to fast and must compensate with fidyah.

BAZNAS Chairman Noor Achmad explained that the determination was made after considering the development of rice prices in various regions across Indonesia.

“After conducting thorough research and careful consideration, BAZNAS RI has set the zakat fitrah value at IDR 50,000 per person and established the fidyah amount at IDR 65,000 per person per day,” said Noor in an official statement on Tuesday (3 February 2026).

Although there is a national standard as a reference, regional BAZNAS offices may adjust the zakat fitrah amounts according to rice prices in their respective areas.

BAZNAS explained that zakat fitrah can be paid from the beginning of Ramadhan until before the implementation of Eid al-Fitr prayers.

Meanwhile, the distribution of zakat to mustahik (zakat recipients) is recommended to be carried out before the imam takes the pulpit during Eid al-Fitr prayers so that zakat can be promptly utilised by recipients ahead of the festival.
