Zahir Ali Summoned by KPK Again Regarding Rorotan Land Corruption Case
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has summoned Zahir Ali for questioning in relation to an alleged corruption case involving land procurement in Rorotan during 2019-2020, KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo informed journalists on Tuesday.
Budi explained that the summons of Zahir Ali today is in his capacity as the President Director of PT Citratama Inti Persada. The spokesperson has not yet provided specific details regarding the focus of the investigators’ inquiry.
‘The examination is being conducted at the KPK’s Merah Putih building,’ he added.
Zahir Ali was previously named a suspect in this case. However, he managed to overturn his suspect status following a pretrial motion filed at the South Jakarta District Court in April 2025.
Following that development, the KPK has once again summoned Zahir Ali for examination in this case on Tuesday, 3 June 2025.
This case is an extension of the land procurement scandal in Pulo Gebang, Cakung, East Jakarta, which implicated the former President Director of Perumda Pembangunan Sarana Jaya, Yoory Corneles Pinontoan, and others. Yoory Corneles Pinontoan was sentenced to five years in prison and a fine of Rp 300 million.
The judge ruled that Yoory was guilty of corruption related to land procurement for the ‘DP Rp 0’ housing project in Pulo Gebang, East Jakarta. Yoory was also ordered to pay restitution of Rp 1,742,290,000 (approximately Rp 1.7 billion), with a subsidiary sentence of 1.5 years of imprisonment.
