JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Chairman of the Advisory Board of Partai Bulan Bintang Yusril Ihza Mahendra stated that PBB, with General Chairman Yuri Kemal Fadlullah, is PBB with legitimate leadership.

Yusril mentioned that the PBB leadership led by his son has been approved by the Ministry of Law, so there should no longer be any differences among the PBB officials.

“Today I am present, also to reconnect with all the DPP officials of Partai Bulan Bintang who are now led by, to my left, Yuri Kemal Fadlullah, the new general chairman of Partai Bulan Bintang,” said Yusril at the Training for PBB DPRD Members across Indonesia in Cawang, East Jakarta, on Wednesday (29/4/2026).

He also asked all DPP officials to maintain solidarity, as well as strengthen the party’s unity and cohesion.

In addition, Yusril encouraged internal improvements and consolidation at all levels, from central to regional, including with PBB DPRD members throughout Indonesia.

“Our hope is that PBB will be more prepared to face the 2029 elections ahead, and now is the time for that consolidation to be carried out,” he said.

On this occasion, Yusril did not acknowledge that there had been dynamics within PBB.

However, the Coordinating Minister for Law, Human Rights, Immigration, and Correctional Affairs stated that everything has been resolved.

“And I urge all PBB officials to maintain compactness, maintain solidarity with one another, and also urge those who previously had differing opinions to stop all their activities,” said Yusril.

As is known, the VI Muktamar of PBB in January 2025 appointed Yusril’s nephew, Gugum Ridho Putra, as the general chairman of PBB for the 2025-2030 period.

However, according to the official PBB website, Yuri Kemal Fadlullah was appointed as Acting General Chairman of DPP PBB through the Party Council Deliberation Session (MDP) on 11 March 2026.
