Yusril: Kuntadi's First Task as Jampidsus is to Resolve Febrie Adriansyah Case
The government has emphasised that the appointment of Kuntadi as the Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) was a decision carefully considered by President Prabowo Subianto. Amidst public scrutiny of the case involving former Jampidsus Febrie Adriansyah, the Presidential Palace hopes the new leadership in the Adhyaksa Corps will be able to resolve the matter fairly and provide legal certainty.
Coordinating Minister for Law, Human Rights, Immigration, and Corrections, Yusril Ihza Mahendra, stated that the President did not appoint Kuntadi without deep consideration. He said Prabowo’s approval demonstrates a belief that Kuntadi is the right person to lead the special crimes division at the Attorney General’s Office.
Yusril asserted that Prabowo also understands the significant challenges awaiting Kuntadi following his inauguration. One of the new Jampidsus’s main tasks, he said, is to complete the handling of the case involving former Jampidsus Febrie Adriansyah.
The government hopes that the change in leadership within the Attorney General’s Office will serve as momentum to strengthen public trust in the law enforcement process. Yusril stressed that the entire process must proceed according to legal corridors, without deviation, and uphold a sense of justice.
