Yuniarti Experiences Real Benefits of JKN Programme During Gerd Treatment

Yuniarti Mantuke has experienced the real benefits of the National Health Insurance (JKN) programme while undergoing treatment for acid reflux and gerd. She stated that her busy work schedule led her to neglect her meal times, which triggered the condition and caused shortness of breath and severe pain in the solar plexus.

She admitted to having a history of recurring acid reflux and gerd, but this was the first time it required hospitalisation. Yuniarti recounted that her health deteriorated a few days ago because she was too focused on completing her work and forgot to eat regularly. Initially, she received treatment at a community health centre (Puskesmas), but after an examination, health workers decided to refer her to Luwuk Regional General Hospital (RSUD) for more intensive care.

During her treatment at Luwuk RSUD, Yuniarti received good and professional health services. She noted that medical staff routinely monitored her progress and provided care without discriminating based on background. Although she is registered as a JKN participant under the Contribution Assistance Recipient (PBI) segment, she felt she received services equal to other patients. She was not charged any fees during her treatment.

After three days of care, her condition gradually improved, with the tightness and pain subsiding, allowing her to rest more comfortably. For Yuniarti, this experience is real proof of the importance of having health protection through the JKN Programme. She expressed gratitude for the sense of security the programme provides, ensuring that she did not have to worry about medical costs when her health declined. She hopes the programme will continue and benefit many others.
