YouTuber Bigmo Reported to Police Over Alleged Use of Minors to Promote Vape

YouTuber Muhammad Jannah, popularly known as Bigmo, has been reported to the Jakarta Metropolitan Regional Police (Polda Metro Jaya) following allegations that he encouraged several minors to promote vape liquid during live streaming sessions.

Head of Public Relations for Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Budi Hermanto, stated that the complaint against Bigmo was received by the Directorate of Protection of Women and Children and Eradication of Human Trafficking (PPA-PPO). “The PPA-PPO Directorate of Polda Metro Jaya has received a report regarding the alleged economic exploitation of children in social media live broadcasts,” Budi confirmed on Sunday (2/8).

He added that the report is currently in the complaint stage as the individuals alleged to be victims are minors and their identities have not yet been established. The PPA-PPO Directorate is currently conducting an investigation to follow up on the report, which includes identifying the children allegedly involved and deepening the investigation into the reported incident.

Bigmo has reportedly issued an apology regarding his actions via a video uploaded to his YouTube channel, Niceguymo. “I am Muhammad Jannah, or commonly known as Biglar. Through this video, I wish to express my deepest apologies for my actions and words that have caused unrest in recent days. I acknowledge that what I did was a mistake and cannot be justified,” he stated.

Bigmo further noted that he recognises that, according to regulations, products containing nicotine are intended solely for adult consumers and not for minors. “As a content creator, I should understand that responsibility and be more careful in every word and action I present to the public,” he added.
