Nganjuk Police have named 14 suspects in a mob attack case that killed a young man in Sukorejo Village, Loceret District, Nganjuk Regency, East Java. The suspects consist of three main perpetrators, nine juvenile offenders, and two adult offenders.

Nganjuk Deputy Police Chief Commissioner Didid Wahyu Agustyawan stated on Thursday (25/6) that the suspects were involved in the mob attack which occurred on Wednesday (24/6) at around 2.00 a.m. Western Indonesian Time.

‘The suspects consist of the main perpetrators FS (17), MR (15), and FI (14). Then nine other juvenile offenders and two adult offenders with the initials FP (18) and MS (20),’ Didid said during a press conference.

Based on the investigation results, the perpetrators had different roles. These ranged from blocking the victim’s vehicle, kicking the motorcycle until the victim fell, throwing stones and pieces of building material at the victim, to assaulting him with bare hands and a belt.

‘The three main perpetrators, namely FS, MR, and FI, are suspected of actively throwing stones which caused the victim to suffer serious injuries,’ he said.

In this case, police seized a number of pieces of evidence including two Honda Vario motorcycles, red bricks, pieces of cast stone, and the post-mortem report from Bhayangkara Nganjuk Hospital.
