The KNPI Rawamangun Youth Building hall witnessed a united commitment from the younger generation to safeguard the nation’s direction. The Islamic Youth Movement (GPI), together with an alliance of youth, university student, and school student elements, spoke with one voice. The public discussion was held under the theme ‘The Ninja Path of Intellectuals: Guarding the Government Through Measured Criticism Without a Vortex of Conflict’, featuring three speakers: General Chairman of PP GPI Khoirul Amin, senior Jakarta activist Khairullah T, and Talimuddin Rumaratu.

The interactive discussion produced a firm statement of stance, enshrined in a document titled ‘Joint Proclamation and Resolution’. The proclamation was read alternately by representatives of each attending element as a symbol of Indonesian youth solidarity.

‘We assert that the “Indonesia Bankrupt” narrative is an erroneous leap of conclusion, unfounded in real economic indicators and merely serves as street-level political rhetoric,’ emphasised Fery Dermawan, Secretary General of the Central Board of the Islamic Youth Movement, while reading the Joint Proclamation and Resolution on Saturday (27/06/2026). ‘Indonesia’s economic growth in the first quarter of 2026 grew positively by 5.61% (one of the best in the G20 and ASEAN), public purchasing power is maintained, and Bulog’s rice reserves reached a record 5.3 million tonnes in mid-2026,’ he continued.

Meanwhile, M. Zaeni Warat, representing the youth element, conveyed full support for improvements and governance within the National Nutrition Agency. Zaeni also expressed support for economic decentralisation through the Merah Putih Village Cooperatives. ‘The controversy regarding alleged budget leakage at the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) proves that the early detection system and law enforcement are functioning. Evaluation and legal action must proceed, but the nutritional rights of 43 million school children must not be halted,’ he explained. ‘We also fully support the logic of self-reliance through the Merah Putih Village Cooperatives so that capital circulation moves concretely at the village level for growth that is not Java-centric,’ Zaeni Warat stressed.

Zhiyah Aulia, representing the student element, stated that demands for President Prabowo Subianto to resign mid-term are unconstitutional. ‘We assess that the demand for President Prabowo Subianto to step down mid-term without juridical reason is a premature, disproportionate act that has the potential to injure the legitimate constitution,’ she declared. She also explained that the current historical context is vastly different from 1998. Therefore, Zhiyah Aulia firmly rejected the provocative narrative currently developing in public about a ‘Reformasi Jilid II’. ‘We firmly reject unconstitutional movements and the “Reformasi Jilid II” narrative. We believe the checks and balances system is already functioning well through the Constitutional Court, the multi-party DPR, and a free press. Rejecting large-scale extreme political movements is a form of youth empathy to protect the livelihoods of ordinary people from the threat of inflation and mass layoffs,’ Zhiyah Aulia concluded.
