Youth Forum's role

As a social youth organization, Youth Forum has to play a
moral role in national development. That moral obligation should
be reflected in everyday activities. In this way, older folks
must not be suspicious of the Youth Forum and should give them an
opportunity to do anything worthwhile.

The reality is that they are doing what they are told to, with
the least bit of seriousness and there is an impression that they
only aim for modest results.

The Youth Forum should not be that simple. They are expected
to acquire a leadership quality, and to stand on their own feet.

Society also deplores the youth's lack of openness in their
interaction with other establishments. The public knows little
about the Youth Forum's activities. Their leaders seem to aspire
to positions in the power circle.

It is now up to the leaders and the government to consider the
role the Youth Forum has to play.
