Meetings don't solve crimes

From Media Indonesia

We often hear that the government officials, from the low to the top ranks, are holding a meeting to discuss the latest problems, such as how to wipe out criminals. Usually, the meetings last for about three days and the participants are accompanied by their wives.

As such meetings are held every year, it seems that the meetings do not yield any results, because they are not serious about crushing the crimes including white-collar crimes.

Actually, it is not too difficult to fight the crimes because they are usually committed by the same individuals. And if the culprits happen to be senior officials, the government can punish them by requiring an early retirement.
