Your Land Unmapped? Use Swaplotting on Sentuh Tanahku
JAKARTA — The public is urged to use the swaplotting feature in the Sentuh Tanahku app to independently map land plots via mobile devices.
Head of the Data and Information Centre (Kapusdatin) at the Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN), I Gede Ketut Ary Sucaya, said the feature allows those with unmapped land to submit location coordinates online without visiting the local land office (Kantah).
‘Landowners can submit location points via the Swaplotting feature in Sentuh Tanahku,’ said Ketut, quoting from the ATR/BPN website on Thursday, 28 May 2026.
‘Once data is submitted, the local land office will verify it against our ministry records to confirm the land’s location. If correct, it will be plotted on the digital map by our colleagues at the land office,’ he added.
He explained that plotting is the process of assigning land parcels to a digital map using accurate GPS coordinates.
The feature is intended for landowners without a certificate and those with analog certificates.
The Swaplotting feature is also seen as enabling public participation to support more accurate land data updates.
‘Verified land will become more integrated with overall parcel data. The aim is to establish location certainty and raise public awareness of the importance of land registration,’ Ketut said.
The Swaplotting feature is accessible via the main menu of the Sentuh Tanahku app, available on Android and iOS devices.
To use the feature, users must grant location access so the system can accurately identify the land parcel’s position.
For owners of analog land certificates, users can select the ‘Certified’ option, then complete the rights holder’s details and certificate information such as rights number, land area, and parcel location.
Users are then required to upload a photo of the certificate document as supporting evidence for verification by the local land office.
After all data and documents are submitted, the Sentuh Tanahku system will forward the information to the local land office for further inspection and verification before being used in the land map update process.
