Young People Create 'Mas Bahlil Ganteng' Video Outside Jokowi's Residence, President Joins Finger Heart Gesture

The ‘Mas Bahlil Ganteng’ song craze has reached young people in Solo, with some even creating a video outside former President Joko Widodo’s residence, sparking his curiosity.

Jokowi shared the youth’s video singing the song on his official Instagram account on Saturday, 30 May 2026. The clip shows young people reciting the song’s lyrics, which include: “MBG: Mas Bahlil Ganteng, what fruit is the sweetest? Bahlil fruit, even more handsome, my little ketan bolu, ups, kanda likes dinda’s style, damn he’s getting cuter guys, if you look closely he looks like Zayn Malik, oh my Bahlil handsome.”

The young people also demonstrated their style while acting out each lyric, with Jokowi’s face appearing in the video. Wearing a white hat and batik shirt, he beamed while performing a finger heart gesture as he walked.

Jokowi commented that the song had reached his doorstep, writing: “It seems Mr Bahlil’s song has reached my doorstep.”

Initially, he was curious about the commotion outside his residence in Gang Kutai, Solo, but later explained it was young people energetically dancing to the song. “At first, I thought there was something happening outside my home in Gang Kutai Utara, Solo. Turns out, young people were energetically dancing to ‘Mas Bahlil ganteng!’”, he wrote.

Jokowi viewed this as a unique way to express joy, adding that such creativity should be appreciated. “I witnessed young people expressing their joy in a unique way. Their enthusiasm and creativity deserve appreciation,” he said.
