A 25-year-old man identified by the initial F was arrested by the Dompu Police Narcotics Investigation Unit while allegedly conducting a crystal meth transaction on Wednesday (14 October 2026). Police seized 57.28 grammes of crystal meth from him.
“F was detained as he was about to carry out a narcotics transaction with a man identified by the initial S. However, S managed to escape,” Dompu Police Narcotics Investigation Unit chief Iptu Rahmadun Siswadi said in a statement on Thursday (15 October 2026).
A joint team of 37 officers carried out the arrest after police received reports of frequent drug transactions in an alley in Karijawa subdistrict, Dompu district, West Nusa Tenggara.
F was unable to escape when officers surrounded him in the alley, which is known as a drug-dealing location. Police found the suspected drugs while searching him.
“During the search, officers found four plastic packets suspected of containing crystal meth, weighing 57.28 grammes in total, two mobile phones and a motorbike,” Rahmadun said.
Police also searched F’s motorbike and home in the Dompu market complex, but found no further evidence.
After his arrest, F was taken to Dompu Police headquarters. Police said they would investigate the network further and examine whether other people were involved in the case.
“F and the evidence are now being held at Dompu Police headquarters for further investigation, while we pursue S, who fled,” Rahmadun said.
