Young Generation Urged to Become National Unifiers Amid Social Dynamics

The General Chairman of the Central Board of the Indonesian Hindu Dharma Student Association (PP KMHDI), Wayan Ardi Adnyana, has stressed that Indonesia needs a young generation capable of being a unifying bond amidst the nation’s various challenges. He made the statement while opening the 14th KMHDI National Working Meeting (Rakernas) at BBPMKP Ciawi, Bogor Regency. Carrying the theme ‘Indonesian Unity’, the 14th KMHDI Rakernas serves as a momentum for the organisation’s national consolidation in formulating policy directions and work programmes for the 2026–2028 management period. According to Ardi, the Rakernas is not merely an annual organisational agenda, but a strategic forum to unite ideas and formulate concrete steps in responding to various national issues. ‘Amidst various economic, social, and national dynamics, Indonesia needs a young generation that can be a unifier, not a divider, and become a solution, not just an observer,’ Ardi said in his speech. He asserted that Hindu students must emerge as an intellectual force that is critical, has integrity, and upholds the values of unity within the framework of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia. On the occasion, Ardi also introduced the spirit of the PP KMHDI management for the 2026–2028 period, which carries the vision of ‘KMHDI Transformation for Indonesia’. According to him, the transformation in question does not stop at changes in organisational structure, but includes changes in mindset, work culture, and an increase in the organisation’s real contribution to society. ‘We want to present a KMHDI that is more adaptive to the times, stronger in cadre development, more active in community service, and capable of being a strategic partner for the government and all stakeholders in building the nation,’ he said. Ardi added that all programmes to be formulated during the Rakernas are directed not only to become administrative documents but to provide real benefits for cadres, the Hindu community, and Indonesian society at large. The opening agenda was also attended by the Deputy Minister of Tourism of the Republic of Indonesia, the Director General of Hindu Community Guidance at the Ministry of Religious Affairs, the Deputy Director of Politics at the Police Security Intelligence Agency, national-level Hindu community organisations, the national-level Cipayung Plus group, and hundreds of KMHDI cadres from across Indonesia.
