Young Generation Encouraged to Build Sustainable Businesses and Green Jobs
JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Inovasi Muda, in collaboration with Universitas Ciputra, has organised the Indonesia Green Jobs Initiative Competition 2026 with the theme Green Innovation for Indonesia’s Future Economy.
The programme serves as an initiative to promote the creation of green jobs through strengthening the ecosystem of sustainable businesses in Indonesia.
Additionally, the programme is designed to produce a new generation of greenpreneurs capable of delivering innovative solutions while creating sustainable employment opportunities.
The programme was joined by more than 300 greenpreneurs from various regions in Indonesia.
After a curation and selection process, 10 top teams advanced to the grand final stage.
In the final stage of the competition, the three best teams designated as winners were Kapori, Mustav&Co, and CEO Masa Depan.
The Indonesia Green Jobs Initiative Competition 2026 is described not only as a platform for competing ideas but also as a development space for the young generation to build sustainable businesses.
Participants are encouraged to develop business models that not only deliver financial impact but also create environmental and social impact, as well as open up green job opportunities for the young generation.
The diverse solutions developed by participants come from several strategic sectors, ranging from renewable energy, waste management and recycling, sustainable agriculture, to sustainable transportation.
Chairwoman of Inovasi Muda, Restu Andini, stated that the competition represents a concrete step in building a green jobs ecosystem from upstream to downstream.
“Through the Indonesia Green Jobs Initiative Competition, we aim to encourage the young generation to become job creators in the green sector. Not just seeking employment, but creating new job opportunities through sustainable innovation,” said Restu in her statement on Wednesday (6/5/2026).
In addition to the competition, the programme also provides mentoring and capacity-building processes for participants.
