Young Cadres Seen as Party's Main Engine for 2029 Election

The Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) Secretary General Muhammad Kholid has outlined four essential attributes that young party cadres must cultivate to secure victory in the 2029 general election. Speaking at the opening of the PKS Youth Summit in Jakarta, Kholid identified militancy, competence, relevance, and contribution as the key pillars for the next generation of party leadership.

Kholid stated that while militancy is a minimum requirement for PKS members, young cadres must also build competence to offer solutions for national challenges, including economic, defence, security, and technological issues. He stressed the importance of remaining relevant by adapting to the evolving times and ensuring that the party’s values align with contemporary challenges.

Furthermore, he called on young members to be active contributors to change rather than passive recipients, urging them to become the driving force for the party’s electoral success. Kholid noted that with the majority of voters in the 2029 election being young people, the party’s youth wing must act as the spearhead of the campaign. He instructed all youth divisions, including Gema Keadilan, Garda Pemuda NasDem, and PKS Muda, to formulate strategies to achieve victory in the upcoming polls.
