Yonif 511 strengthens communication with Popome traditional leaders to maintain security
Wamena (ANTARA) - The Pamtas Task Force of Yonif 511/DY is strengthening communication with traditional community leaders in Popome Village, Mokoni District, Lanny Jaya Regency, Papua Highlands, to jointly maintain the security situation in the area. Dantim 3 of the Popome Post, Serda Rudianto, stated in a written release from Wamena on Sunday that his team conducted visits to the homes of traditional leaders in the fostered area to maintain social communication. “The visit was carried out in order to strengthen ties of friendship with traditional leaders in the assignment area so that we can work together to maintain the security situation in Popome,” he said. “In an atmosphere full of brotherhood, Popome Post soldiers greeted and interacted with the community and children they met,” he added. He explained that this activity is one of the territorial development programmes of the Pamtas Yonif 511/DY Task Force, organised with the intention of strengthening brotherhood between the Popome Post and the community. “Additionally, this activity serves as a means to listen to complaints and aspirations from the community, as well as to provide education on the importance of maintaining security stability and order in the Papua Highlands region,” he said. Meanwhile, Popome Village traditional leader Regimon Murib expressed his gratitude to the Popome Post soldiers for visiting to build relationships and expressed hope that relations between the community and the TNI will continue to be well maintained in the future.
