Yonif 136/TS strengthens social approach with residents in remote Puncak Jaya

Wamena (ANTARA) - The Task Force (Satgas) for Border Security (Pamtas) Yonif 136/TS has strengthened its social approach with residents through mobile medical treatment and the distribution of decent clothing in Pageleme Village, Mulia District, Puncak Jaya Regency, Central Papua. DanTim 1 Pos Kampung Lima-Lima Satgas Pamtas 136/TS Sertu Ambarita Siahaan stated in a written explanation that this social health service represents the TNI’s concern for the people of Papua. “In an effort to improve healthcare services while also strengthening relations with residents in the assigned area, we from Pos Kampung Lima-Lima carried out mobile medical treatment activities in Pageleme Village, Mulia District, Puncak Jaya Regency, along with distributing wearable clothing,” he said. According to him, the activity was accompanied by health personnel (Nakes) from Satgas Pamtas Yonif 136/TS, Private Aldi Mahendra. “This service is part of the task force’s territorial development programme in helping to address residents’ difficulties, particularly in the health sector,” he stated. He explained that with full dedication and spirit of service, the health team from Satgas Pamtas Yonif 136/TS went directly to the community to provide examinations and treatment to residents. “The services provided include health condition checks, provision of medications, and education on the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle,” he said. He added that the residents’ enthusiasm was very high from the start of the activity in Pageleme Village, Mulia District. “Residents of various ages came to receive healthcare services, and not a few were willing to wait patiently to get the chance to be examined and treated,” he stated. He assessed that the atmosphere of the event was warm and full of familiarity between the TNI and the people in Pageleme Village, Mulia District, Puncak Jaya Regency. “TNI soldiers not only carried out medical duties but also interacted humanely with residents, creating emotional closeness that further strengthens the unity of TNI with the people,” he said.
