Yogyakomtek 2026 Invites Younger Generation to Explore Future Technology
The Jogja Computer Entrepreneurs Association (Apkom Jogja) is once again organising the largest annual computer event in the Special Region of Yogyakarta and Central Java, Yogyaklamtek. The event is taking place from Saturday (26/09/2026) to Wednesday (30/09/2026) at the Jogja Expo Centre (JEC), Bantul, Special Region of Yogyakarta.
Carrying the theme ‘AI & Beyond’, Yogyakomtek 2026 continues the momentum of the past two years. In 2025, Yogyakomtek focused on ‘Artificial Intelligence Now’, providing various experiences and inviting visitors to try AI-based products and works directly. This year, Yogyakomtek aims to provide an understanding or an overview of how AI has become an integral part of jobs, devices, and businesses embedded in daily life.
“Currently, AI is already present in laptops, mobile phones, and the way we work. Through this event, we want to invite visitors to see the next steps of how AI can be used for learning, creating, and opening new business opportunities,” said the Chairman of Apkom Jogja, Eka Wibawa, on Saturday.
Since 2025, Yogyakomtek has emerged as a technology festival concept that combines sales exhibitions, experience areas, seminars, workshops, competitions, and entertainment. The primary target of this event is the younger generation. Last year, Apkom Jogja involved approximately 330 students as organisers, exhibitors, and presenters of various works.
Visitors can also see firsthand the works of lecturers and students in the fields of AI, robotics, animation, gaming, and digital art, while hunting for the latest devices from more than 70 renowned technology brands.
“Events like this are quite good and can provide a positive impact for students, particularly regarding socialising and learning about AI,” said the Deputy Mayor of Yogyakarta, Wawan Harmawan.
Wawan hopes that in the future, more AI technologies like this will emerge so that local products are able to adapt and compete with today’s advanced technologies.
“This event is able to endure because it keeps up with the times and stays close to the community. We want visitors to come to learn, have fun, and leave with devices at more affordable prices compared to shopping online,” said the Chairman of the Yogyakomtek 2026 Committee, Fakhrurrozi.
The committee is targeting more than 50,000 visitors over the five-day event, with tickets priced at Rp 20,000 per person. Free tickets are also provided from Monday to Wednesday for groups of primary, junior high, and senior high school students, subject to an official request letter from the school and wearing school uniforms.
