Yogyakarta Weather Forecast Today: Light Rain in Kaliurang-Menoreh Area

The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) Yogyakarta Special Region has released its weather forecast for today (27 May). Most areas in the region will not experience rain, with precipitation only expected in the Kaliurang and Menoreh regions.

Yogyakarta City

According to BMKG DIY’s official Instagram account @infobmkgyia, no rain is forecast across Yogyakarta City today. The weather is expected to be partly cloudy to overcast throughout the day.

Sleman

Most of Sleman is also predicted to remain dry today, with partly cloudy to overcast conditions. This includes the Prambanan Temple area and surroundings. However, the Kaliurang area and the slopes of Mount Merapi, including the districts of Pakem, Turi, and Cangkringan, may experience light rain in the afternoon.

Bantul

No rain is expected in Bantul today, with partly cloudy to overcast conditions throughout the day. This includes coastal tourist areas such as Parangtritis Beach.

Kulon Progo

Most of Kulon Progo will see no rain, including coastal areas and Yogyakarta International Airport (YIA), with partly cloudy conditions all day. However, the Menoreh Hill area, including Samigaluh and Girimulyo, may experience light rain starting in the afternoon.

Gunungkidul

Most of Gunungkidul will have partly cloudy to overcast conditions with no rain expected. This includes coastal tourist areas such as Indrayanti Beach.
